I found a lot of versions with errors, and this corrects for them. The biggest
errors were in the pre-chorus, chorus, and bridge.

Hope this helps!

Intro:
E Esus4 E Esus4 x4

            E E
The new day dawns
         A B E E
And I am practicing my purpose once again
      A B C#m
It is fresh and it is fruitful if I win
         A
But if I lose
A B E E
Ooh, I don't know.
        A B E E
I'll be tired but I will turn and I will go
      A B C#m
Only guessing till I get there then I'll know
A B E E
Oh, I will know

Chorus:
B B A E
All the children walking home past the factories
A E A E B
Can see the light that's shining in my window as I write this song to you
B B A E
And all the cars running fast along the interstate
A E A E B Bsus4 B
Can feel the love that radiates, illuminating what I know is true

C#m A
All will be well
     A A B B
Even after all the promises you've broken to yourself
C#m A
All will be well

You can ask me how but only time will tell

The winter's cold
             A B E E
But the snow still lightly settles on the trees
      A B C#m A
And a mess is still a moment I can seize until I know

That al- l will be well
     A B E E
Even though sometimes this is hard to tell

And the fight is just as frustrating as hell

This works well. I've been fingerpicking the piano part on a baritone ukulele and surprisingly that sounds pretty good. Every time you have the

E Esus E Esus

pattern (in the intro and after the first and last choruses), I believe it should actually just be

E A E A

each time. My reasoning is that if you listen to the bass piano note, it's alternating B (the fifth of E) and C# (the third of A) every beat. Then above that you have alternating G# (the third of E) and A (the root of itself, obviously) every beat, except the note switches to A just after the C# bass note, on the second sixteenth note of that beat, if you're counting quarter notes at 100ish BPM (then back to G# on the beat.) And throughout all of that, Dixon's throwing in E (the root of E and fifth of A) as well to fill things out. So that gives alternating E and A major triads, both inverted. Sorry to lecture- I'm writing this down as much for my own understanding as anyone else's. Hope it helps.
