I would've lied, could've cried, should've tried harder

     G Cadd9 F6(9) Cadd9
Done anything to make you stay

         G Cadd9 F6(9)
I wonder what you'd do if you looked out your window

    Cadd9 G Cadd9 F6(9) Cadd9

If you're going for an original version, the F6(9) and Cadd9 might be good. However, might I suggest you try it like this:

INTRO: F# B Bsus4 B (repeat 1x)

VERSE:

F# B Bsus4 B
Sittin' out here on the hood of this truck, lookin' up

F# B Bsus4 B
At a caramel colored sunset sky

F# B
Checkin' my watch, doin' the math in my head

Bsus4 B F# B
Countin' back words to when you said "good-bye"

Ebm E
Well those runway lights are getting brighter

I realize some of my chords are a half step below yours, but I'm not hearing the add9 and 6 chords you guys put in. Anyway, give it a try like this and see what you think.

Well, that's nice. The spacing on the chords didn't quite make it, but you should be able to get the idea.

i appreciate your comment. Did you tune your guitar down a half-step? if you did you should be able to hear it. Gary plays this song a half step down, and when i plugged in your chords it didn't sound right.
