Gavin Rossdale - Love Remains The Same (2008)

Tabbed by: trevgreg
Email: trevgreg1227@hotmail.com

Tuning: Standard

Here are the chords to Gavin Rossdale's latest single. The first part here in a simple one-note
intro, with maybe some mute palming in before it. After that, it's a pretty simple bar chord
arrangement throughout the rest of the song.

Some of the bridges might have a different chord or two, so if any of you think of something
better, feel free to say it!

E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

E
A thousand times I've seen you standing
B5
Gravity like a lunar landing
A5 A5
Make me want to run till I find you
E
Shut the world away from here
B5
Drift to you, you're all I hear
A5 A5
Everything we know fades to black

F#5
Half the time the world is ending
A5
Truth is I am done pretending

E5 B5
I never thought that I had any more to give
A5 A5
Pushing me so far here I am without you
E5 B5
Drink to all that we have lost, mistakes that we have made
A5 A5
Everything will change, love remains the same

E5
Find a place where we escape
B5
Take you with me for a space
A5 A5
A city bus that sounds just like a fridge
E5
Walk the streets through seven bars
B5
I had to find just out where you are
A5 A5
The faces seem to blur they're all the same

F#5
Half the time the world is ending
A5
Truth is I am done pretending

E5 B5
I never thought that I had any more to give
A5 A5
You're pushing me so far here i am without you
E5 B5
Drink to all that we have lost, mistakes that we have made
A5 A5
Everything will change, love remains the same

B5
So much more to say, so much to be done
A5 A5
Don't you trick me out, we shall overcome
B5 D5
Cause our love stays ablaze

E5
We should have had the sun
B5
Could have been inside
A5
Instead we're over here

F#5
Half the time the world is ending
F#5
Truth is i am done pretending
A5
Too much time to love defending
A5
You and I are done pretending

E5 B5
I never thought that I had any more to give
A5 A5
You're pushing me so far here I am without you
E5 B5
Drink to all that we have lost, mistakes that we have made
A5 A5
Everything will change, everything will change

E5 B5
Oh, I.........	Oh, I………

A5 A5
This could last forever

E5 B5
Oh, I........	Oh, I………

A5 A5
We could last forever

E5	B5	D5	A5
Love remains the same
E5	B5	D5	A5
Love remains the same

Uh E5= Em fyi

The chord progression really doesnt change during the song.

Gavin's progression has always been simple. He doesnt change from E to Em. It is a constant E throughout the song.

it actually sounds better with open chords instead of the 5ths

The A over "pushing me so far" is that F#5 that you have down earlier. Nice work though, it's altogether a solid song!
