[Verse 1]

A
Windin' your way down on Baker Street

Light in your head and dead on your feet
     Em7
Well another crazy day
       G
You'll drink the night away
    D
And forget about everything
A
This city desert makes you feel so cold.

It's got so many people but it's got no soul
         Em7
And it's taken you so long
   G
To find out you were wrong
         D
When you thought it held everything

Dm7 Am
You used to think that it was so easy
Dm7 Am
You used to say that it was so easy
    C
But you're tryin'
G D
You're tryin' now
Dm7 Am
Another year and then you'll be happy
Dm7 Am
Just one more year and then you'll be happy
    C
But you're cryin' ..sax begins
G A F/G
You're cryin' now

[Instrumental Break]

|D | G7sus4 |D | G7sus4 |
|C |A7sus4 |G | G7sus4 |
|D | G7sus4 |D | G7sus4 |
|C |A7sus4 |G | |

[Verse 2]

A
Way down the street there's a light in his place

He opens the door he's got that look on his face
       Em7
And he asks you where you've been
    G
You tell him who you've seen
        D D
And you talk about anything
A
He's got this dream about buyin' some land

He's gonna give up the booze and the one night stands
    Em7 G
And then he'll settle down in some quiet little town
    D
And forget about everything

Dm7 Am
But you know he'll always keep movin'
Dm7 Am
You know he's never gonna stop movin
      C
Cause he's rollin'
G D C/D D
He's the rollin' stone
Dm7 Am
And when you wake up it's a new mornin'
Dm7 Am
The sun is shinin' it's a new mornin'
C
You're goin' ..sax solo begins
G A F/G
You're goin' on.

Excellent. This is the definitive version - certainly the intro chords are bang on.

Good work CPWKruger

I believe the chords of the intro (before the sax begins to play) are:
A7sus4 - F7sus4 - G7sus4 (3 x)

Try it. Sounds much better and it's easier to play!

They may be easier to play and they are very close to what I have posted. I originally scored this on a keyboard, and what I have posted is what the keyboard plays in the song. For instance the notes G7sus4 are G,C,D,F.
The notes in a F/G are G,A,C,F. In this song, The A is present on that chord and the D note is not, hence I tabbed it F/G. But again like you said, G7sus4 works fine. The root, the 4th and the 7th are present. There is a subtle tonality difference between the chords however and I'm just going along with what's on the recording.
