[Verse 1]
C11 Bbmaj7 Fmaj7/A C11
I am a lineman for the county, and I drive the main road,
   Dm7 Am7 G4 G D D4 D
Searching in the sun for a - nother over - load,
                          Cadd9 G/B Gm/Bb
I hear you singing in the wires, I can hear you through the whine,
                  D/A A7sus4 Bbmaj7 Csus2 Bbmaj7
And the Wichita lineman... is still on the line----------!

[Verse 2]
C11 Bbmaj7 Fmaj7/A C11
I know I need a small va - cation, but it don't look like rain,
     Dm7 Am7 G4 G D D4 D
And, if it snows, that stretch down south won't ever stand the strain,
                         Cadd9 G/B Gm/Bb
And I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time,
                  D/A A7sus4 Bbmaj7 Csus2 Bbmaj7
And the Wichita lineman... is still on the line----------!

Spot on!There is an instrumental break over the chord section that goes:

e|---------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------1--------------------1-1-1-1-1-1-1-3-0-----|
G|---2-3-2-0-2--------2-3-2----------------------------0--2|
D|--3-------3-------3-------3------3-----------------------|
A|-3--------------3--3--------3--3-------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------|

This ends on the D chord.
