(verse)
    F#m
I still change the station
       A A C#m
Every time they play that song
       F#m
Can't drive past your house
      A A C#m
So I take the long way home
   F#m
Your black leather jacket
        A
Still hangin' in my closet
                             E
I wish that I could give it away
   D Esus4 E
Oh even though you're gone somehow you stay

(chorus)
 A F#m
And every other time a love said goodbye
         D
I just shake it off, shake it off
A F#m
Pour another drink so I don't feel a thing
         D Bm
I just shake it off, Just break it off
A F#m
Erased all your numbers, blocked all your calls
A F#m
Tried another lover, built up my walls
A F#m Bm C#m D
Told myself it's over, don't' know what else I can do
          F#m
Can't shake you

(verse)
  F#m
I didn't wanna be here
        A A C#m
But my friends all love this bar
  F#m
I don't wanna see you
        A A C#m
But I'm wondering where you are
  F#m
And why am I still keepin'
  A
The shirt you used to sleep in
                              E
It's been sitting there over a year
    D Esus4 E
Oh, even though you left me, you're still here

(chorus)
 A F#m
And every other time a love said goodbye
         D
I just shake it off, shake it off
A F#m
Pour another drink so I don't feel a thing
         D Bm
I just shake it off, Just break it off
A F#m
Erased all your numbers, blocked all your calls
A F#m
Tried another lover, built up my walls
A F#m Bm C#m D
Told myself it's over, don't' know what else I can do
          A
Can't shake you

(bridge)
  A
I can't shake you
       F#m E
No matter how hard I try
               A
I can't shake you
           A
I can't shake you
       F#m E
And I don't know why

(chorus)

(out)
               F#m A C#m
I can't shake you,
               F#m A C#m F#m

Just a tip, transpose two semi-tones down and play on the second capo :) much easier!

Hi Ariellerose13,

Thanks for that. Personally, I love the sound of the barre chords on this soulful tune. I use the F#m on the 2nd fret then the A on the 5th fret. I like to strum the A very "late" and then quickly to the C#m on fret 4 with an echo effect on the verse. I also find that the Esus4 in the first position into the E is thunderous! I know this represents extra effort, but give it a try, you may like it.

Thanks again for using my score and your comments.

Sincerely,
Mohawkriverman (Bill)

I'm sure that would sound awesome but my fingers aren't yet strong enough to even play that F#m! I'm only just getting used to barre chords because in the past I would literally refuse to play a song ;) I'm getting the hang of Bm, but for my weak fingers I prefer to just transpose.
