#Tips for playing at the end of the tab!!

[Verse 1]

E D C G G/F# E
As I walk through the valley of the shadow of L.A.
E D C G G/F# E
The footsteps that were next to me have gone their separate ways
E D C G G/F# E
I've seen enough now to know that beautiful things don't always stay that way
E D C G G/F# E
I've done enough now to know this beautiful place isn't everything they say

[Pre-Chorus]

G A
I heard that evil comes disguised
G A
Like the City of Angels walking towards the light

[Chorus]

Em C G A
Baptized in the river I've seen a vision of my life and I wanna be delivered
Em C G A
In the city was a sinner I've done a lot of things wrong But I swear I'm a believer
Em C G A
Like the prodigal son I was out on my own Now I'm trying to find my way back home
Em C G A
Baptized in the river, I'm delivered, I'm delivered

[Verse 2]

E D C G G/F# E
You're from a small town, you're gonna grow up fast, underneath these lights
E D C G G/F# E
Down in Hollywood on the Boulevard, the death comes back to life
E D C G G/F# E
To the praying mother and the worried father Let your children go
E D C G G/F# E
If they come back, they'll come on stronger And if they don't, you'll know

[Pre-Chorus]

G A
They say evil comes disguised
G A
The City of Angels walking towards the light

[Chorus]

Em C G A
Baptized in the river I've seen a vision of my life and I wanna be delivered
Em C G A
In the city was a sinner I've done a lot of things wrong But I swear I'm a believer
Em C G A
Like the prodigal son I was out on my own Now I'm trying to find my way back home
Em C G A
Baptized in the river, I'm delivered, I'm delivered

Em C G A
Baptized in the river (On my own)
Em C G A
Baptized in the river (On my own) I wanna be delivered

[Coda]

Em C G A
...... On my own (3x)
Em C G A
Baptized in the river (On my own) I wanna be delivered (3x)
Em C G A
I confess I'm a sinner I've seen a vision of my life and I wanna be delivered

The chords in the verses all are played barré, those of the chorus open.
The G is played like an A on the 10th (10 10 12 12 10 10).
The G/F# is a G with an f# as bass note (- 9 12 12 10 10
If you can, lift your barré-finger on every E at the end of the lines of the
verses (i think if you listen to the song, you'll know what i mean ;)
