If you give it a chance now

(C'mon baby do the loco-motion)
   F Dm
My little baby sister can do it with me
     F D
It's easier than learning your a b c's
   C
So come on, come on,
G C
Do the loco-motion with me

C F
You gotta swing your hips now
                   C
Come on baby, jump up, hmmm jump back
          G G7
Oh well I think you got the knack

C
Now that you can do it

Do it nice and easy now don't lose control
  F D
A little bit of rhythm and a lot of soul
   C
So come on, come on,
G C
Do the loco-motion with me

Break

C Am
Move around the floor in a loco-motion
 C Am

C Am
Do it holding hands if you got the notion
 C Am
(C'mon baby do the loco-motion)
        F D
There's never been a dance that's so easy to do
   F
It even makes you happy
            D
When you're feeling blue
   C G C
So come on come on do the loco-motion with me

I have tried to play this along with the recording and it does not sound right. Where on the fretboard are you playing these chords? I played then up high on the neck and it sounds too low. I have run these by my guitar teacher (master's in music from Berkley College) and he agrees. I have found 2 other versions, with the same results. Played without the record, it sounds nice but if I cannot play along, there is really no point to this. Could you please comment? I have had this issue come up on other GFR tabs, too.
