GREEN DAY - Redundant (chords)
(from the album 'Nimrod')

Words by Billie Joe Armstrong
Music by Green Day (Billie Joe, Mike Dirnt, Tre Cool)

transcribed by Brendan Sobczynski bren@yallara.cs.rmit.edu.au

Tuning : standard tuning (unlike the previous albums,
which were tuned down 1/2 step)

Intro: |A |Ab |G |Gb |B |D |A D|A |

A D A D A
We're living in repetition

A D E G A
Content in the same old shtick again.

A D A D A
Now the routine's turning to contention.

A D E
like a production line going over and over and over

roller coaster

Chorus:

       A Ab
Now I cannot speak, I lost my voice.

      G Gb
I'm speechless and redundant.

         B D A D A
'Cause I love you's not enough. I'm lost for words.

Choreographed and lack of passion.
Prototypes of what we were.
Went full circle 'til I'm nauseous.
Taken for granted now.
Now I waste it, faked it, ate it, now I hate it.

Now I cannot speak .........

This sounds OK, apart from the Ab and Gb on the intro and the chorus. I think they sound better as minors.

A Abm G Gbm B D. . .

^^^Thats closer^^^
