A fab cover by Greg Laswell (originally by Kate Bush). Greg’s is in the same key
but his timings and chord variations are quite different from Kate’s.

I suggest you play the following along with the track for best results…

Capo 1

     G C
Pray God you can cope.
 G C
I stand outside
             Cmaj7
This woman's work,
             D6
This woman's world.
Em D Am
Ooh, it's hard on the man.
        Bm C
Now his part is over.
 G C B7sus4 D6
Now starts the craft of the fa - ther.

C D
I know you have a little life in you yet.
G C
I know you have a lot of strength left.
C D
I know you have a little life in you yet.
G C
I know you have a lot of strength left.

Cadd9 D
I should be crying, but I just can't let it show.
G C
I should be hoping, but I can't stop thinking:
Cadd9 D
Of all the things I should have said, but I never said.
G C
All the things we should have done, but we never did.
Cadd9 D
All the things I should have given, but I didn't.

C/E D Am
O-----oh, my darling, make it go,
      Bm C D C
Make it go away!
Cadd9/G D G C/E Cadd9/G
     Give me these moments back.

  D G C/E Cadd9/G
Give them back to me.
  D G C/E Cadd9/G
Give me that little kiss.
  D G C/G Cadd9/E
Give me your... hand

                       D
I know you have a little life in you yet.
G C/E
I know you have a lot of strength left.
C D
I know you have a little life in you yet.
G C/E
I know you have a lot of strength left.

Cadd9 D G C
I should be crying, but I just can't let it show.
Cadd9 D G C
I should be hoping, but I can't stop thinking
Cadd9 D
Of all the things I should have said, but I never said.
G C
All the things we should have done, but we never did.
Cadd9 D
All the things that you needed from me.
G C
All the things that you wanted for me.
C D
All the things that I should have given, but I didn't.
C Am
Oh, darling, make it go

        B5 C Am B5 C
make it go away now.

How do you play those e.g. C/E Cadd9/G chords?

Sorry about late reply. C/E, for example Means the C chord with an E bass so you would play the open E string as well.

So the first letter is the Chord, and the latter after the / is the bass note
