[Verses]
Am G F
You were a phonograph, I was a kid
Am G F
I sat with an ear close, just listening
Am G F
I was there when the rain tapped her way down your face
Am G F
You were a miracle I was just holdin your space

End of verse transition

Am 8 up down strums
F 8 up down strums

Am G F
Well time has a way of throwing it all in your face
Am G F
The past, she is haunted, the future is laced
Am G F
Heartbreak, ya know, drives a big black car
Am G F
Swear i was in the back seat, just minding my own

End of verse transition

Am 8 up down strums
F 8 up down strums

[Chorus]

G C
And through the glass, the corn crows come like rain
           G Am
They wont stay, they wont stay for
C
Too long now
              G C
This could be all that we know..
    D
Of love and all.

[Verse 3]

Am G F
Well you were a dancer, I was a rag
Am G F
The song in my head, well was all that I had
Am G F
Hope was a letter I never could send
Am G F
Love was a country we couldn't defend

Am chord, about 22 times

G Am C G
And through the carnival we watch them go round and round
               Am C G
All we knew of home was just a sunset and some clowns ohhhhhhh

[Verse 4:]

Am G F
Well you were a magazine, I was a plane Jane
Am G F
Just walking the sidewalks all covered in rain
Am G F
love to just get into one of your stories
Am G F
Just me and all of my plain Jane glory
Am G F
Am G F
Just me and all of my plain Jane glory
Am G F
Am G F
Am G F
Heyayayayay
Am G F
Am G F
Ohhohohohoh
Am G F

Pretty good! I think there is supposed to be a C after the F in the verses.

Also,
The chorus:
G F C
And through the glass, the corn crows come like rain
G Am
They wont stay, they wont stay for
F C
Too long now
G Am
This could be all that we know..
D
Of love and all.

This part:

G F C G
And through the carnival we watch them go round and round
F C G
All we knew of home was just a sunset and some clowns ohhhhhhh

"I think there is supposed to be a C after the F in the verses."

Looking at the music video, it's actually a 332010 and then 320010 before going back to Am.
