[E]Well there's some big black clouds
that's a blowin in from the [A]west
I've been [E]drivin all day
Lord, I sure could use some [B7]rest
And there's a [E]motel up ahead where I can un[A]wind
Cause I [E]sure love thunder[A]storms and [B7]neon signs[E]

[E]I grew up on the road from town to [A]town
My [E]daddy's line of work kept us movin a[B7]round
I got [E]fond memories of the way things were back [A]then
The [E]warmth of a neon when a [A]cold storm is [B7]movin in

[Am]Listen to the opry in a small [E]cafe
[Am]When we stop to get a bite along the [E]way
[Am]Whenever I hear the wheels begin to [E]whine
[Am]It takes me back to another [B7]time

I got a [E]real nice room with a radio and [A]TV
This here [E]motel livin is the only life for [B7]me
And it [E]looks like it'll be rainin for quite some [A]time
[E]Mixed with the lightning is the [A]glow from a [B7]neon [E]sign

[Am]Listen to the opry in a small [E]cafe
[Am]When we stop to get a bite along the [E]way
[Am]Whenever I hear the wheels begin to [E]whine
[Am]It takes me back to another [B7]time

[E]Well there's some big black clouds
that's a blowin in from the [A]west

The 2nd A chord in each verse is supposed to be Am. And in the chorus, every other Am is supposed to be an A.
