Here's a way to play this beautiful song using only standart chords :) Have fun!

CAPO 5 (I think.)

       Em7
Let me riddle you a ditty
      D C G
It's just an itty bitty little thing on my mind
          Em7 D
'bout a boy and a girl tryin' to take on the world,
     C G
One kiss at a time
         Em7
Now the funny thing about it
          D
Ain't a story without it
         C G
But the story is mine
       Em7 D
And I wish you could say
         C G
That it ended just fine

D Em7 C (let ring)
  We all wanna know
how it ends

Em7 Cadd9
Oh, happily ever after
      G D Em7
wouldn't you know, wouldn't you know?
     Cadd9
Oh, skip to the ending
G D
Who'd like to know?
              Em7
I'd like to know!
        Cadd9
Author of the moment
G D
 Can you tell me?
Em7 Cadd9 G D
Do I end up, do I end up happy?

(same chords in 2nd stanza)

Inhale, breathe steady, exhale like you're ready
If you're ready or not
Just a boy and a girl gonna take on the world,
and we wanna get caught
In the middle of a very happy ending
Let's see what we've got
Let's give it a shot
Let's give it a shot

We all wanna know
how it ends

Oh, happily ever after
wouldn't you know, wouldn't you know?
Oh, skip to the ending
Who'd like to know?
I'd like to know!
Author of the moment
Can you tell me?
Do I end up, do I end up happy?

    G D Em7 Cadd9
We all have a story to tell
G D Em7 Cadd9
Whether we whisper or yell
    G D
we all have a story,
   Em7 Cadd9
of adolescence and all it's glory, we
G D Cadd9 (let ring)
all have a story to tell

Oh, happily ever after
wouldn't you know, wouldn't you know?
Oh, skip to the ending
Who'd like to know?
I'd like to know!
Author of the moment
Can you tell me?
Do I end up, do I end up happy?

I hope there aren't any mistakes, if that's the case, feel free to tell me :)

Oh my goodness! I love this song so much and you did a really good job figuring out the chords! i didn't wanna check correction but it wouldn't let me do both but i would just check the chords to the beginning of a few stanzas.

At the beginning of the verse, instead of going Em7 D C G, I would maybe try Em7 C G D. just for the first four count and then alternate between the two.

Also on " We all wanna know" it kinda sounds cool to do the same chord progression as the verse to kinda make some clashing :)

All just suggestions again, GREAT JOB!
