Gtr.1 – Electric
Gtr.2 – Acoustic

[Intro]
C G
She sits alone by a lamppost,
C G
Trying to find a thought that's escaped her mind.
G D
She says there's the one I love the most,
C G
His type's not far behind.

[Verse]
G (Gtr.1 G)
She never lets me in,
D (Gtr.1 D)
Only tells me where she's been,
C (Gtr.1 C) G (Gtr.1 G)
When she's had too much to drink.
G (Gtr.1 G)
I say that I don't care,
       D (Gtr.1 D)
I just run my hands through her dark hair.
C (Gtr.1 C) G (Gtr.1 G)
Then I pray to God, "You gotta help me fly away". (And just,)

Let her sing, if it eases all her pain.
        C (C.Fill) G (Gtr.1 G)
Let her go, let her walk right out on me.
           D (Gtr.1 D)
And if the sun comes up tomorrow,
        C (Gtr.1 C) G
Let her be, let her be.

[Verse]
G (Gtr.1 G)
This morning I woke up alone,
D (Gtr.1 D)
Found a note standing by the phone,
C (Gtr.1 C) G (Gtr.1 G)
Saying, "Maybe, Maybe I'll be back someday".
G (Gtr.1 G)
I wanted to look for you.
           D (Gtr.1 D)
You walked in, I didn't know just what I should do.
      C (Gtr.1 C) G (Gtr.1 G)
So, I sat back down, had a beer and felt sorry for myself. (Saying,)

The lyrics are wrong at the beginning. It's "Stipe's not far behind" not "His type's not far behind." Other than that great tab! Gotta love Hootie

chords are off, G/C/D for verse , not C/G/C/G/D or however else you have it, but still pretty good for the rest of it
