STARS
by HUM
from YOU'D PREFER AN ASTRONAUT

Dropped-D tuning (detune low E string to D)

note: this ain't exact; Hum has two guitars, so I've left
out some stuff, and the rest is my highly subjective
listening..I haven't included exact number of chord
strokes, when to hit distortion, etc...use this as
a starting point and listen to the song for the rest)

          (intro)

          (verse)

bend those fretted notes on all but that last chord as in verse)

            (cool riff)

(this riff ain't 100% accurate but sorta close)

This is how hte riff should go:

e----------------------------|
B----------------------------|
G----------------------------|
D----------------------------|
A-------4------5----7----7/9-|
E-0-0-5----0-5----5----5-----|

You were no where near right, and you are missing parts to the tune in your tab.

Riff (Palm Mute)
e------------------------------------------|
B------------------------------------------|
D------------------------------------------|
G------------------------------------------|
A----------5p0----------7p5----------7h9---|
D---0---7------5-0-5-7-------7-0-7-9-------|

I think that sounds better.
