This is similar to other tabs, it's just written in a different key (it fits my vocal range better).

Capo 2.

[Intro]

(Relative to Capo, so fret 8 actually is fret 10 and so on!)-4X, however, on
the fourth time, replace the last two notes with 15 and 12.

e|---8---10---12--10--8---10-8-12--10----|
B|---------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------|

C-G-Am-F

[Verse 1]

C
So this is what you meant when you said that you were spent?
G Am
And now it's time to build from the bottom of the pit right to the top,

Don't hold back
F
Packing my bags and giving the academy a rain check

C G
I don't ever want to let you down
                                      Am
I don't ever want to leave this town
             F
'Cause after all

This city never sleeps at night...

[Refrain]

C
It's time to begin, isn't it?
                   Am
I get a little bit bigger, but then,
                                   Dm
I'll admit, I'm just the same as I was
                   F
Now don't you understand

That I'm never changing who I am?

[Instrumental]

C-G-Am-F

[Verse 2]

C
So this is where you fell, and I am left to sell
G
the path that heaven runs through miles of clouded hell,
             Am
right to the top

Don't look back
F
Turning to rags and give the commodities a rain check

[Chorus]

C
I don't ever want to let you down
G Am
I don't ever want to leave this town
              F
'Cause after all

This city never sleeps at night...

[Refrain] (x2)

(N.C. the second time, just vocals)

C
It's time to begin, isn't it?
                   Am
I get a little bit bigger, but then,
                                   Dm
I'll admit, I'm just the same as I was
                   F
Now don't you understand

That I'm never changing who I am?

[Bridge]

Am G
This road never looked so lonely,
                              F
This house doesn't burn down slowly,
Dm F
to ashes, to ashes...

[Refrain] (x2)

(N.C. the second time, just vocals)

Am
It's time to begin, isn't it?
                   G
I get a little bit bigger, but then,
                                   F
I'll admit, I'm just the same as I was
Dm F
Now don't you understand

That I'm never changing who I am?

It really isn't written in another key. The key of the original song is D and this is written in D as well (if you set capo at 2nd fret and play a C open chord shape, you'll be playing a D).

Also, at the last line of the chorus, a G open (A in the original recording) is missing, give it a try.

This is the correct key actually and it's awesome! Best tab for this song imo and I played them all. Great job!
