Iron & Wine: Fever Dream
Album: Our Endless Numbered Days (2004)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

**Open G tuning: DGDGBd

Credit to Cassie (ver 1) for most of the notes. The main difference between
that tab and this one is the Open G tuning, which makes most of the chord
shapes easier.

Note: Any note played on the third fret of the b-string can also be played
open on the d-string (the tuned-down high e string). I like to alternate
between the two.

Intro (play twice):

d|---4------0-------4|-------0---------|-----------------|----------------|
B|--------0-------0--|-----0-----------|-3------3-------3|-------3--------|
G|------0-------0----|---0-------0-----|----0-------0----|---0-------0----|
D|---2--------2------|-2-------2---0---|------4-------4--|-----4-------4--|
G|-------------------|-----------------|-5--------5------|-5-------5------|
D|-------------------|-----------------|-----------------|----------------|

d|----------0--------|-----------------|-----------------|----------------|
B|--1-----------1----|-3------3--------|-3------3-------3|-------3--------|
G|-----0----------0--|----0-------0----|----0-------0----|---0-------0----|
D|-------2-----------|------4-------4--|------5-------5--|-----5-------0--|
G|--2---------2------|-4--------4------|-5--------5------|-5-------5------|
D|-------------------|-----------------|-----------------|----------------|

Verse (twice): same as inro

1. Some days her shape in the doorway
     Will speak to me
A bird's wing on the window
2. Sometimes I'll hear when she's sleeping
     Her fever dream
     A language on her face

Chorus:

d|---------0--------|-------0-------|-2--------------2|---------------------|
B|--1----------1---1|---------------|--------3--------|-------3-------------|
G|-----0---------0--|---0-------0---|----0-2-----0-2--|---0-2-----0-2-------|
D|-------2----------|-----2-------2-|-0--------0------|-0-------0-----------|
G|--2--------2------|-2-------2-----|-----------------|---------------------|
D|------------------|---------------|-----------------|---------------------|(3 times)

(then...)

d|---------0--------|-------0-------|---------0--------|--------------------|
B|--1--------------1|---------------|--0--------------0|---------1-------0--|
G|-----0-------0----|---0-------0---|-----0-------0----|---0---------0------|
D|-------2-------2--|-----2-------2-|-------0-------0--|-----0h2-------0----|
G|--2--------2------|-2-------2-----|--0--------0------|-0---------0--------|
D|------------------|---------------|------------------|--------------------|

d|---------0-------5|-------5--------|
B|--0----------0----|---0-------0----|
G|-----0---------0--|-----0-------0--|
D|-------0----------|----------------|
G|--0--------0------|-0-------0------|
D|------------------|----------------|

I want your flowers like babies want God's love
Or maybe as sure as tomorrow will come

Verse (same as before):

3. Some days, like rain on the doorstep
     She'll cover me
With grace in all she offers
4. Sometimes I'd like just to ask her
     What honest words
She can't afford to say, like

Chorus (same as before):

I want your flowers like babies want God's love
Or maybe as sure as tomorrow will come

Verse (play twice):

Same as before, but end last time with:
