I just made it with a capo on the first fret. you can use basic open chords now if you want.

Verse:

D
I've got my things, I'm good to go
Fm
You met me at the terminal
Bm G D Dsus
Just one more plane ride and it's done.
D
We stood like statues at the gate
Fm
Vacation's come and gone too late
Bm G
There's so much sun where I'm from
D Dsus D
I had to give it away, had to give you away.
D Fm
And we spent four days on an island
                     Bm
At your family's old hotel.
             G
Sometimes perfection can be,
D D
It can be perfect Hell,
G
Perfect.

Chorus:

G
Hours pass, and she still counts the minutes
       D
That I am not there
                                G
I swear I didn't mean for it to feel like this
                         D
Like every inch of me is bruised, bruised.
G
Don't fly fast. Oh, pilot can you help me
        D
Can you make this last? This plane is all I got
           G
So keep it steady now, cos every inch you see is
D Dsus
Bruised

Verse:

I lace my Chucks I walk the aisle,
I take my pills, the babies cry.
All I hear
Is what's playing through the in-flight radio
Now every word of every song
I've ever heard that made me want to stay
Is what's playing through the in-flight radio
And I, I am finally waking up.

Chorus

Bridge:

D Fm
So read your books but stay out late
Bm
Some nights, some nights.
    D Fm Bm
And don't think that you can't stop by the bar.
    D Fm Bm
You haven't shown your face here since the bad news.
    D Fm
I'm here til close, with fingers crossed,
     G A
Each night cos your place isn't far.
     G D
And hours pass, and hours pass.
G
Yeah, Yeah

Chorus

The Fm should be an F# minor (244222) the Dsus i play as a Dsus4 (xx0233) instead of Dsus2 just to clear that up, swap
between Dsus4 and D, hammer ons. Um the chorus sounds right, however if you play a G(no3) (3x0033) instead of the
straight G chord it sounds better.

Apart from that a pretty solid basis. But, just so you know, you can't really drop
JM songs into a straight open chord thing like this. Sure their acoustic versions sound it slightly but you just can't,
it doesn't do them, or Andrew, justice.
