Some of the other tabs for this song may be correct as well but I found them to
be unnecessarily difficult and think this tab should be easy for most people and
sounds to me pretty much on point.

standard tuning
capo 3

C
I've got my things, I'm good to go
Em
You met me at the terminal
Am F C G
Just one more plane ride and it's done
C
We stood like statues at the gate
Em
Vacation's come and gone too late
Am F
There's so much sun where I'm from
C G
I had to give it away, had to give you away

(break) C Em Am F

C
And we spent four days on an
Em Am

             F C
Sometimes perfection can be

(chorus)

F
Hours pass and she still counts the minutes
       C
That I am not there
                                F
I swear I didn't mean for it to feel like this
                         C
Like every inch of me is bruised,
G
Bruised
F
Don't fly fast Oh, pilot can you help me
        C
Can you make this last? This plane is all I got
           F
So keep it steady, now 'Cause every inch you see is
C G
Bruised

(verse 2)
C
I lace my Chucks, I walk the aisle
Em
I take my pills the babies cry
Am
All I hear
          F
Is what's playing through the in-flight radio
C
Now every word of every song
Em
I've ever heard that made me
Am
Want to stay
          F
Is what's playing through the in-flight radio
C
And I...
Em

               Am
Finally waking up

F
Hours pass and she still counts the minutes
       C

(bridge)

C
So read your books
    Em Am
But stay out late some nights, some nights
    C
And don't think that you
Em Am
Can't stop by the bar
C Em
You haven't shown your face here
              Am
Since the bad news
C Em
I'm here 'til close, with fingers crossed
     Am
Each night 'cause your place isn't far
(let ring) (let ring)

She still counts the minutes
       C
That I am not there
                                F
I swear I didn't mean for it to feel like this
                         C
Like every inch of me is bruised,

stupid question, my capo is on the 3 fret, lets say i need the AM, do i see the capo fret as fret 0 and do the AM like i would without the capo, or do i see the capo fret as the first fret and use only two fingers. well that complitcated explained, The F, do i still need to bare it or does the capo bare it? thought capos were used to not play bare.

When your capo is on 3, that make the 4th fret your 1st fret. So yes, the capo-ed fret is "fret 0".

You are correct, capos are not a substitute for a bar... although technically it would work but not in the way you think. That aside, you can try playing Fmaj which is 010023 I think. Just look up alternatives on Google.

Good luck and don't put that guitar down!!!
