Rescued – Jack’s Mannequin
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: kellylien

Tuning: Standard

Intro: E A C#m B (2x)

Verse:
E A C#m B
Two to one, static to the sound of
        E E/D# A
You and I undone for the last time
         E A C#m B
And there this was hiding at the bottom
           E E/D# A
Of your swimming pool some September

F#m A
But don't you think I wish that I could stay
                              A E
Your lips give you away

Chorus:
C#m B A E
I can hear it, a jet engine
              C#m B
Through the center of the storm
           A B
And I'm thinking I'd
C#m B C#m E/D#
Prefer not to be rescued

Verse:
E A C#m B
Two to none roads that lead away from this
E E/D# A
I'm following myself just this once
E A C#m B
And I got spun, it appears you're spun as well
E E/D# A
It happens when you pay attention
F#m A
Or this could take all year

Chorus:
                E C#m B
But when it's quiet, does she hear me?
A E C#m B
A jet is sent to the center of the storm
A B
And I'm thinking I'd
C#m B A B
Prefer not to be rescued
A E C#m B
And oh I can feel her
A E C#m B
She's dying just to keep me cold
A B
And I'm finally numb
C#m B A B
So please don't get me rescued
C#m E/D#
Rescued

Bridge:
E A C#m B (2x)

E A
And it's unclear
C#m B
But this may be my last song

Chorus:
A E
C#m B
I can tell
A E C#m B
She's raising hell to give to me
A B
She got me warm
         C#m B A B
So please don't get me rescued
A E C#m B
And oh say you'll miss me
A E C#m B
One last time, and I'll be strong
A B
Whatever you do
         C#m B C#m E/D#
Please don't get me rescued
A E
'Cause I'm feeling like
C#m B A B
I might need to be near you
A E
And I feel alright
C#m B
So please don't get me rescued

C#m E/D# B(2x) A

if you transpose this up 3 half steps you can just substitute:
D/G (2x0230) where it says G/F#
and
Am7 (002010) where it says G#m

and it sounds pretty close to correct. this is what works for me anyway, i'm mostly just putting this here so i can remember haha
