C G
I want to be alone
Em D
I need to touch each stone
C Em
Face the grave that I have grown
C D C
I want to be
Em
Alone

C G
Before all the days are gone
Em D
And darker walls are bent and torn
C Em
To pass the time of those who mourn
C D C
I want to be
Em
Alone

C G
Rivers that run anywhere
Em D
Are in my hand and just up the stair
C Em
Past the eyes of those who care
C D C
Who can never be
Em
Alone

C G
Changes that were not meant to be
Em D
Tow the hours of my memory
C Em
Sing a song of love to me
C D
To say you must never
C Em
Never be alone

C G
The tears of a silent rain
Em D
Seek shelter on my broken pain
C
And run away
Em
But I remain
C D
To speak the words
C
That sing
Em
Of alone

C G
I want to be alone
Em D
I need to touch each stone
C Em
Face the grave that I have grown
C D C
I want to be
Em
Alone

I would start the song with an Em instead of a C.

Wrong chords. "I want to be alone" begins with a minor chord. You can check the tabs and get from there the right chords.
