Jackson Waters - Center of Attention

http://www.jacksonwaters.org/

I’m almost sure this is completely wrong, I just decided
To tab this out since it’s new and figured I would take a shot
at it. I think it’s in the key of D# so that’s what I played it in.
Please feel free to comment or correct it. This is 100% ear so
Please be gentle.

Em7 Dsus Asus7
     You want your independence
Em7 Dsus Asus7
but you won’t let me let you go

     You wanna test the waters
Em7 Dsus Asus7
and leave it on the empty shore

    C/E G Dsus
But I’ll take my time if you want to
    C/E G Dsus
And I’ll give you whatever you need
    C/E G Dsus Asus7 B
And I’ll wait a lifetime to give it to you give it to you

    C/E G Dsus
But I’ll take my time if you want to
    C/E G Dsus
And I’ll give you whatever you need
    C/E G Dsus Asus7 B
And I’ll wait a lifetime to give it to you give it to you

Interlude: Em7, Dsus, Asus7

Em7 Dsus Asus7 Em7 Dsus Asus7
I would wait a life - time and I would wait for you
Em7 Dsus Asus7 Em7 Dsus Asus7
I would wait a life - time and I would wait for you

    C/E G Dsus
But I’ll take my time if you want to
    C/E G Dsus
And I’ll give you whatever you need
    C/E G Dsus Asus7 B
And I’ll wait a lifetime to give it to you give it to you

Yeah, this is not right. While you are relatively correct, the tone that JW has won't sound the same using a capo. JW plays with a capo on fret 1 and proceeds to play the song in the key of Gm.

Hence, The progression is (with a capo on fret 1),

[Verse]
F#m E D

[Chorus]
D F#m E

Thanks for the help. I was trying to find a video or something to show him play it but was unsuccessful. I tabbed it out completely by ear so I knew there were some mistakes. I perfer my way, it's easier and it works for my vocals. Thanks, I'm sure someone will find this very useful.
