I saw this on "Later with Jools Holland" and loved it. I think I nailed the chords, but

what is a sharp other than that i think it is good well done

A sharp is a note that has been raised one half step.

The D/F# chord is fingered as 2xx232. It means play a D with the bass note as an F Sharp.

The Em is the correct chord, but try using the Em7: 022030 instead of the bog-standard Em: 022000, to make it sound better.

yeah i think the Em can be played sometimes and the Em7 at other parts e.g the end of the line in the chorus
