Mexico chords
James Taylor 1975

Capo II

D A G A E A D G 2x

         D A G
Way down here you need a reason to move
       D A G
Feel a fool running your stateside games
          D A G
Lose your load, leave your mind behind, Baby James

E B A
Oh, Mexico
   E B A E
It sounds so simple I just got to go
             B A E
The sun's so hot I forgot to go home
G A E G
Guess I'll have to go now

      D A G
"Americano" got the sleepy eye
        D A G
But his body's still shaking like a live wire
            D A G
Sleepy "Senorita" with the eyes on fire

E B A
Oh, Mexico
   E B A E
It sounds so sweet with the sun sinking low
          B A E
Moon's so bright like to light up the night
G A E
Make everything all right

Solo
D E 4x
G
       D A G
Baby's hungry and the money's all gone
    D A G
The folks back home don't want to talk on the phone
    D A G
She gets a long letter, sends back a postcard; times are hard

E B A
Oh, down in Mexico
  E B A E
I never really been so I don't really know
E B A
Oh, Mexico
  G A E
I guess I'll have to go

E B A
Oh, Mexico
  E B A E
I never really been but I'd sure like to go
E B A
Oh, Mexico
  G A E
I guess I'll have to go now
E B A
Talking about Mexico
E B A E

Although this gives a basic idea of the song many parts are incorrect...
the intro goes D A D A G (adding the picking parts)F# E (picking riff) C G (2X)
The guess I'll have to go now part is G F# E Esus E
The solo part is missing a chord in between the D and E....it's like a quick Db
The outro is completely wrong and is C#m B A E repeated through the fade
Hope this helps
