Jarrod Gorbel - Need For Control
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabber: adslam3

This is a chords version for "need for control."
You can use barre chords or open chords or mix them up..whatever you want.
I personally think barred chords sound best on the verse and bridge.
Enjoy.

INTRO
A - E - Bm - D [x3] A - E - D
                     E Bm
I don't think you'll ever step down
   D A
A father's devotion unbroken
     E Bm
The patterns laid out
         D A
Let him face the consequences

   Bm D A E
He brought us up to stand alone
    Bm D A E
To answer to what we've chosen
    A D
All the same blood

CHORUS
A E Bm D
This should be so much easier
     A E Bm D
Give up your need for control, you're just prolonging
    A E Bm D
And let him face this on his own
     A E Bm D
Give up your need, your need for control

VERSE 2
              E Bm
Too afraid to watch it unfold
D A
Resentment for his choices
      E Bm
Feel heartless, but you can't forget
           D A
Cause he's breaking down our family

    Bm D A E
And how can you sit there silently?
    Bm D A E
I'm old enough now to intervene
    A D
So listen to me

CHORUS 2
A E Bm D
This should be so much easier
     A E Bm D
Give up your need for control, you're just prolonging
    A E Bm D
And let him face this on his own
     A E Bm D
Give up your need, your need for control

BRIDGE - NOTE: for the Bm, pluck the B on the top E string,
         then a slow up strum

                   Bm A
If you soften the blow, lessen the effect
                      Bm
For the ones that you love
                           A G#m F#m E D D
you might be setting them back

CHORUS 3
A E Bm D
This should be so much easier
     A E Bm D
Give up your need for control, you're just prolonging
    A E Bm D
And let him face this on his own
     A E Bm D
Give up your need, your need for control

ENDING
A - E - Bm - D
A - E - D - D
        Give up your need
A - E - Bm - D
A - E - D
        Give up your need

The verses start on Bm(7th fret), not E, and continue with the same chord progression(only farther up the fretboard).

He actually plays Bm on the 7th fret with his pinky on 9.
