God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - Jars of Clay
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: swilson98

Tuning: Standard

Really awesome fingerstyle riff for a classic Christmas song.

I like to fret the low E notes with my thumb.

e|--0-----0-----2-----3--2--3-----0-----0-----3--5--7-----0-----2-----3--2---|
B|-----0-----0-----0-----------0-----0-----0-----------0-----0-----0---------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------0-----------------------------------------------0------------|
A|--------------------3--2--3-----2-----0-----------------------------3--2---|
E|--0-----------------------------------------3-----0------------------------|

e|--3-----0-----2----------(0)-----------------------------------------------|
B|-----0-----0-----3---------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------REPEAT------------------------------------|
A|--3-----2-----0------------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------3--2-(0)-----------------------------------------------|

Intro to the solo:

e|-----0-----0-----0-----0---------------------------------------------------|
B|--5-----3-----1-----0--------0-----0-----------0---------------------------|
G|--------------------------2-----0--------0---------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------4-----1------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------0------------------------|

E bass note at the end is the first beat of the solo section. I like to end the song with this
"intro to solo" section and then harmonics at the 12 frets on the G, B, and high E strings.

If you don't want to learn/do the solo, just repeat main riff till the end. When I play at church,
we have the keyboard player do the solo (sounds great).

Hope you enjoy.

The notes are very wrong, good job, but wrong notes, i don't like giving back feedback. SO don't take it too personally. Just may want to try again.
