[Intro]
        Fm D A E C#m D A E x2

[Verse 1]

           F#m B
Well I saw fireworks from the freeway.
    E A
And behind closed eyes I cannot make them go away
                F#m B
'Cause you were born on the fourth of july freedom ring
    E A
Now something on the surface it stings
       F#m
I said something on the surface
        B
Well it kind of makes me nervous
    E
Who says that you deserve this?
         A
And what kind of god would serve this?
        F#m B
We will cure this dirty old disease
        E
Well if you've got the poison I've got the remedy

[pre chorus]

    F#m B E A
The remedy is the experience, This is a dangerous liaison
         F#m B
I say the comedy is that it's serious.
          E A
This is a strange enough new play on words
          F#m B
I say the tragedy is how you're gonna spend
    E A
The rest of your nights with the light on
             F#m B
So shine the light on all of your friends
        E
When it all amounts to nothing in the end.

[Chorus]

A D E F#m C#m D E
I I won't worry my life away.

I I won't worry my life away.

F#m D A E C#m D A E

[Verse 2]

             F#m B
Well I heard two men talking on the radio
    E A
In a cross fire kind of reality show
  F#m B
Uncovering the ways to plan the next big attack
          E
They were counting down the ways to stab
    A F#m
The brother in the be right back after this
       B E
The unavoidable kiss, where the minty fresh
                A F#m
Death breath is sure to outlast this catastrophy
B E
Dance with me, because if you've got the poison,
             A
I've got the remedy

There's no need to hurry when I'm making up my mind
F#m A
You can turn off the sun but I'm still gonna
A E
shine and I'll tell you why

The chords are good. For me, it's easier to play with capo on the 3rd fret (transpose this page to -2, and capo on 3rd to play with the recording).
