Intro: Piano

F-G-Am-C-F-G-C/E-C- x3

Verse 1:
F G
Looking at you now I can tell
                  Am
That you and your new
relationship ain't going well
                  F
There's no reason your name
                     G
should come up on my cell
  C/E
Unless you're unhappy but
that shouldn't be the case
          F
Cause you said
                G
said he was the one
         Am
Baby yes you said
said you were in love
      F
Cause when you left me
              G
you said that you wouldn't be
       C/E
Coming back remember
that but I never agreed

Chorus 1:
          F G
I hate to say it but I told you so
                Am
Told you if you left that
                  C
you were gonna be miserable
               F
Guess he don't do it like
           G
me or else you wouldn't be
        C/E
Running back to the past
       C
it was you that left me
          F
I hate to say it but
             G
you know I'm right
                 Am
Everytime you're up be
               C
calling for me late at night
             F
But now that you ain't got me
        G
tell me where you going be
        C/E
Cause I can't take you back
      C
no my heart won't let me

Post Chorus: F-G-Am-C-

Verse 2:
         F
Girl you know he can't
             G
touch like I do
                Am
I don't see you tripping or
                  C
flipping over his moves
             F
Don't take a genius to
                  G
see he ain't that dude
    C/E
But you let him back you
don't know what you was on
             F
But when you said
                G
said he was the one
         Am
Baby yes you said
said you were in love
      F
Cause when you left me
              G
you said that you wouldn't be
       C/E
Coming back remember
that but I never agreed

(Repeat Chorus 1)

Bridge:
            F
You fall on hard
         C
times it seems
              Am
But you ain't getting
        G
no sympathy
        F C
No baby not from me
        Am
Cause I told you you
             C
should never leave
        F
See you chose this road so
          Dm
you gotta go it alone
         F G G#--
Remember I told you so

Chorus 2: Modulate from C to C#
          F# G#
I hate to say it but I told you so
                Bbm
Told you if you left that
                  C#
you were gonna be miserable
               F#
Guess he don't do it like
           G#
me or else you wouldn't be
        C#/F
Running back to the past
       C#
it was you that left me
          F#
I hate to say it but
             G#
you know I'm right
                 Bbm
Everytime you're up be
               C#
calling for me late at night
             F#
But now that you ain't got me
        G#
tell me where you going be
        C#/F
Cause I can't take you back
      C#
no my heart won't let me
