This is NOT a direct translation of the song. This is my arrangement of it acoustically,
as I've never actually heard an official acoustic version. This is essentially the same
song; same chords just a different tuning and different positioning so as to compliment
it better for a solo acoustic guitar.

Look at the other tabs for the solo part if you want it (they should match my chords
just fine). I designed this tab for a single guitar, but I do like to a capella the solo;
go nuts, the crowd will love the energy, plus it's pretty entertaining (having a harmony
singer can make this part sound really cool).

                   A/D A/G
Did you take 'em for it? Every penny that you could?
        Bm G
We once walked out on the beach and once I almost touched your hand.

Oh how I dreamed to finally say such things then only to pretend.

Don't you know I'm thinkin', drivin' 405 past midnight.

You know I miss you. Ninth and Ash on a Tuesday night.
         Bm G
I would write to you from a museum mile, toast to you:
                          D A
your whisper, your smile. Up the stairs at the Weatherford, a ghost each place I hide.
       G A
If you don't don't know, why would you say so?
             D* G
Would you mean this please if it happens?

If you don't know, why would you say so?
                 D* G
Won't you get your story straight.

If you don't know, honey, why'd you just say so?
         D* G
Cos I need this now more than I ever did.
                                  A
If you don't well, honey, then you don't.
            A/D A/G
I left you waiting, at the least could we be friends?
                   A/D A/G
Should have never started, ain't that the way it always ends?
Bm G
On my life I'll try today, there's so much I've felt I should say, but.
D A
Even if your heart would listen, doubt I could explain.
       G A

Someday maybe, maybe someday we'll be smarter.
