   "Kill"

Notes:
This song was a bit hard to figure out, but it's just so beautiful and I really wanted to tab it!
I saw other tabs on the net that were completely wrong (in standard tuning)
I think it's easy to understand that the guitars are tuned down half-a-step.
The most difficult part to figure out was the intro/verse where I'm not really sure
what he plays, but I think that my version sound more or less right.
there are some chords that I play in different ways so I'll write it down
here and you'll decide what you prefer:

G#m (466444) I usually play this chord on the chorus like this (x44200).
I just think it sounds better
F# (244322) In the chorus I usually prefer play this (F5: 244xxx)
and you can even alternate the F# with this (x14322) or (2143xx)

I had some problem figuring out the middle part riff, the 3rd chord is a bit hard
to do, but I didn't know how to do it, so if you find something more easy just let
everyone know...

intro (riff 1)
eb|------------------.-------------------|
Bb|--(0)---(0)---(0)-.--(0)---(0)---(0)--|
F#|--4-----4-----4---.--4-----4-----4----|
Db|--2-----2-----2---.--2-----2-----2----|
Ab|--2-----2-----2---.--2-----2-----2----|
Eb|----4-4---4-4---4-.----0-0---0-0---0--| repeat 2 times

verse
eb|------------------.------------------------------------.---------|
Bb|--(0)---(0)---(0)-.--(0)---(0)---(0)-------------------.---------|
F#|--4-----4-----4---.--4-----4-----4---------------------.--4--3---|
Db|--2-----2-----2---.--2-----2-----2---- repeat 3 times -.--4--4---|
Ab|--2-----2-----2---.--2-----2-----2---------------------.--2--1---|
Eb|----4-4---4-4---4-.----0-0---0-0---0-------------------.---------|

(riff 1) (riff 1)
Well you're just across the street
		     (riff 1) B F#
looks a mile to my feet, I want to go to you....
(riff 1) (riff 1)
	Funny how I'm nervous still
		     (riff 1) B F#
I've always been the easy kill, I guess I always will....

chorus:

  	 G#m E B F#
Could it be that everything goes around by chance? (chance)
	G#m E B F#
Or only one way that it was always meant to be? (be...)
		 G#m E B F# G#m
You kill me, you always know the perfect thing to say (hey hey, hey hey)
	         E B F# (riff 1)
I know what I should do but I just can't walk away...

repeat verse:

I can picture your face well from the bar in my hotel
I wish I could meet you
I'll pick up put down the phone
like your favorite Heath Mizer song goes, it's just like being alone

repeat chorus:

Oh God, please don't tell me this has been in vain
I need answers for what all the waiting I've done these
You kill me, you've got some nerve but can't face your mistakes
I know what I should do but I just can't turn away

middle:

eb|------2-----2---------2-----2------.------2-----2---------2-----2------|
Bb|----2-----2-----2---2-----2-----2--.----2-----2-----2---2-----2-----2--|
F#|--4-----4-----4---4-----4-----4----.--3-----3-----3---3-----3-----3----|
Db|-----------------------------------.-----------------------------------|
Ab|-----------------------------------.-----------------------------------|
Eb|-----------------------------------.-----------------------------------|

eb|-----------------------------------.-----------------------------------|
Bb|------2-----2---------2-----2------.------2-----2---------2-----2------|
F#|----4-----4-----4---4-----4-----4--.----4-----4-----4---4-----4-----4--|
Db|--6-----6-----6---2-----2-----2----.--4-----4-----4---4-----4-----4----|
Ab|-----------------------------------.-----------------------------------|
Eb|-----------------------------------.-----------------------------------|

So go on love, leave while there's still hope for escape
gotta take what you can these days
there's so much ahead and so much regret
I know what you want to say
I know it but can't help but feel indifferently
I loved you and I should have said it
but tell me, just what has it ever meant?

repeat chorus:

I can't help it baby, this is who I am
and I'm sorry but I can't just go turn off how I feel
You kill me, you build me up but just to watch me break
I know what I should do but I just can't walk away

repeat intro riff till the song fade out...
and this is the end...

hope this helps...

This song is a lot easier to paly if you tune to dropped Db, and put a capo on the second fret. (You could also just not tune down a half step, in which case you would just tune to a normal dropped D and capo the first fret). Just adjust the chords acordingly...it makes it a lot easier on your left hand (or right, if you're a lefty) to play it this way.
