Joe Cocker- Don't let me be misunderstood
(This is Joe Cocker's version. Original version is from "Animals")

Am G
BABY, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME NOW
F E
SOMETIMES I FEEL A LITTLE MAD
Am
BUT DON*T YOU KNOW THAT NO ONE ALIVE
    G
CAN ALWAYS BEEN AN ANGEL
F E
WHEN THINGS GO WRONG I FEEL REAL BAD
C Am
I*M JUST A SOUL WHOSE INTENTIONS ARE GOOD
F (E) Am
OH, LORD, PLEASE DON*T LET ME BE MISUNDERSTOOD

BABY, SOMETIMES I*M SO CAREFREE
WITH A JOY THAT*S HARD TO HIDE
AND SOMETIMES IT SEEMED THAT
ALL I HAVE TO DO IS WORRY
AND THEN YOU*RE BOUND TO SEE MY OTHER SIDE
I*M JUST A SOUL WHOSE INTENTIONS ARE GOOD
OH, LORD, PLEASE DON*T LET ME BE MISUNDERSTOOD

F G F G
IF I SEEM EDGY I WANT YOU TO KNOW
F G C Am
THAT I NEVER MEAN TO TAKE IT OUT ON YOU
F G F G
LIFE HAS IT*S PROBLEM AND I GET MY SHARE
F G C E
AND THAT*S ONE THING I NEVER MEAN TO DO
              Am
*CAUSE I LOVE YOU , OH

OH, OH, OH, BABY – DON*T YOU KNOW I*M HUMAN
I HAVE THOUGHTS LIKE ANY OTHER ONE
SOMETIMES I FIND MYSELF
LORD, REGRETTING
SOME FOOLISH THING, SOME LITTLE THING I*VE DONE
I*M JUST A SOUL WHOSE INTENTIONS ARE GOOD
OH, LORD, PLEASE DON*T LET ME BE MISUNDERSTOOD

When he sings " OH, LORD", the right chord is a Bb, not a F.

An this song was writen by Bennie Benjamin for Ninna Simone, The Animals did a cover, it's not the original version.
