Before you Leave - Joel Plaskett
from Thrush Hermit's 'Clayton Park' album

C
The light above the street
G
I can see you perfectly
C
Who needs the moon above?
G
To see that you don't need my love
F
You don't need my love
C

C
If you find some one else
G
Please keep it to yourself
C
And never let me know
G
hat you ever let me go
F
You ever let me go
C

chorus:

G
There's fire in the trees
F - C
And rain upon the roof
G
It looks like we won't freeze
F - C
Just close the chimney flue

G
And do what you gotta do
F - C
Before you leave (x3)

verse:
The band struck up and played
I know our love not fade
Away and into dust
But if it must, it must
If it must, it must

And we all die alone
At war or on the phone
Or both at the same time
Sending volleys thru the lines
Volleys thru the lines

Repeat Chorus.

That is so far from the actual chords its incredible.
I think you forgot to say Capo 4

i think for the acoustic version of this song joel actually plays it in Capo II. In this case, the tab is slightly incorrect, with a C intro with a bass run to Am for the first line of the verse (repeated every verse). other then that i think it is alright if you are in the right key (capo II).

thanks
doug.

I agree, he plays it on his dvd capo 2, but the thrush hermit recording would be your tab, capo 4 and with slight changes, like you said the Minor chord at the start
