I'm On Fire - John Mayer
off "Battle Studies"
Tabbed by: Kevin Heiland (Kevy Absolution)
Email: kevin.heiland@gmail.com
Tuning: EADGBE

Originally performed by Bruce Springsteen, "I'm On Fire" is reproduced by John Mayer
for his new album. While similar to the original in chord structure, some of the
riffs have changed in Mayer's interpretation. Throughout the song, chords are
arpeggiated, so I'll introduce the arpeggio charts then show chords with lyrics.

E
Hey little girl, is your daddy home?
                                                A

Good tab, it helped me to do a new one that has the same notes, but played with different chords:
Capo at 4, and the notes are: Am, C, then one that is like the C but you only move your second n' third finger one string down each one, and then D.
You can figure out using this:
A = weird C
B = D
C#m = Am
E = C

and you don't have to use the first string

sounds exactly the same but is more easy
=)

in the live version i watched of this on youtube john capos it at what looks like the 7th or 8th fret... i'm guessing 7th because then you get E on the open A string... just a thought for consideration, obviously you can play it at more than one location on the neck
