Secret Agent Man: Johnny Rivers: Charts in '67.

 (Capo 7th fret for original.)

   Am Dm Am
1. There's a man who leads a life of danger.

   Am E7
To everyone he meets he stays a stranger.

        Am Dm
With every move he makes, another chance he takes,

   Am Dm Am
Odds are he won't live to see tomorrow.

Am Em Am Am Em Am
CHORUS: Secret agent man...secret agent man,

                F Dm E Am
They've given you a number and taken away your name.

     Am Dm Am
2. Beware of pretty faces that you find.

     Am E
A pretty face can hide an evil mind.

            Am Dm
Oh, be careful what you say, you'll give yourself away,

     Am Dm Am
Odds are you won't live to see tomorrow.

CHORUS: Again.

     Am Dm Am
3. Swingin' on the Riviera one day,

      Am E
Then layin' in a Bombay alley the next day.

                 Am
Oh, if you let the wrong word slip,

            Dm
      While kissin' persuasive lips,

       Am Dm Am
Odds are you won't live to see tomorrow.

CHORUS:

(***For the benefit of beginners...***)
(You can do the intro and chorus riff simply by going,
 on Second string(B) Open ////// Close 1st fret //////
Close 2nd fret ////// Close 1st fret again, etc. You can incorporate E (6th) and make
sound fuller.

/= number of strokes.

A sixties smash from Kraziekhat!

Seems like about the right chord progression, but wrong key. This one seems pretty good:
