G/C - 320003
G - 3x0003
Dsus/F# - 2x0230
Em - 022000

Intro - C, G, Dsus/F#, Em repeat once

Verse 1 -

C G Dsus/F# Em
I'm not sure why it always goes downhill
C G Dsus/F# Em
Why broken cisterns never could stay filled

I've spent

Chorus -

    C G Dsus/F# Em
Ten years singing gravity away
        C G D/F# Em
But the water keeps on falling from the sky

Verse 2 -

C G Dsus/F# Em
So here tonight while the stars are blacking out
C G Dsus/F# Em
With every hope and dream I've ever had in doubt

I've spent

Chorus -

C G Dsus/F# Em
Ten years trying to sing these doubts away
        C G D/F#
But the water keeps on falling from my eyes
   C G Dsus/F# Em
And heaven knows, heaven knows
     C G D/F#
I tried to find a cure for the pain
C G Dsus/F# Em
Oh my Lord, to suffer like you do
 C G Dsus/F# C
Dsus/F#, C, G, Dsus/F#
It would be a lie to run away

Verse 3 -

C G
So blood is fire

Dsus/F# Em
pulsing through our veins
C G Dsus/F# Em
We're either riders, or fools behind the reigns

I've spent

Chorus -
C G Dsus/F# Em
Ten years trying to sing it all away
        C G D/F#
But the water keeps on falling from my tries
   C G Dsus/F# Em
And heaven knows, heaven knows
     C G D/F#
I tried to find a cure for the pain
C G Dsus/F# Em
Oh my Lord, to suffer like you do
 C G Dsus/F# C
It would be a lie to run away
 C G Dsus/F# C
It would be a lie
C G Dsus/F#
It would be a lie to run away

Bridge -
C G
It keeps on falling
Dsus/F# Em
It keeps on falling
C G
It keeps on falling
Dsus/F# Em
It keeps on falling
        C G D/F#
And the water keeps on falling from my eyes

End -

   C G Dsus/F# Em
And heaven knows, heaven knows
     C G D/F#
I tried to find a cure for the pain
C G Dsus/F# Em
Oh my Lord, to suffer like you do
 C G Dsus/F# C G
C
It would be a lie to run away
 C G Dsus/F# C
It would be a lie to run away
C G Dsus/F# C G DsusF# (Don't know last chord that it ends on)
It would be a lie to run away

The Dsus4/F# should be labeled D9/F#, or Dsus2/F#, since the open e string is the 2nd or 9th over D, not the 4th.

But, the tab sounds decent.

D9 means that the chord includes the third (F#) above D. Since this chord includes an F#, that's what I'd call it.

A Dsus2 resolves to a D, and doesn't include the third.
