Capo
2nd fret
This is exactly how she plays it on album. Not the live version. Obviously, no sort of
is present because this is a tab. Use your ears; it's not difficult. The song is F# and I
this by ear. I have perfect pitch, so you should trust me :P
Gorgeous poetry. Have fun with it.

(Intro)
(Verse)
Rows and flows of angel hair,
And ice cream castles in the air,
And feather canyons everywhere-
I've looked at clouds that way.
(Verse)
But now they only block the sun-
They rain and snow on everyone!
So many things I would have done,
But clouds got in my way.

(Chorus)
I've looked at clouds from both sides now,
From up and down, and still, somehow,
It's clouds' illusions I recall;
I really don't know clouds at all.

(fill2)

(Verse)
Moons and junes and ferris wheels,
The dizzy dancing way you feel
As every fairy tale comes real-
I've looked at love that way.
(Verse)
But now it's just another show-
You leave 'em laughing when you go,
And if you care, don't let them know;
Don't give yourself away.

(Chorus)
I've looked at love from both sides now,
From give and take, and still, somehow,
It's love's illusions I recall;
I really don't know love at all.

(fill2)

(Verse)
Tears and fears and feeling proud,
To say, "I love you," right out loud,
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds-
I've looked at life that way.
(Verse)
But now old friends are acting strange.
They shake their heads, they say, "I've changed."
Well, something's lost, but something's gained
In living every day.

(Chorusx2)
I've looked at life from both sides now,
From win and lose, and still, somehow,
It's life's illusions I recall;
I really don't know life at all.
I've looked at life from both sides now,
From up and down, and still, somehow,
It's life's illusions I recall;
I really don't know life at all.

Dear Mr. "Perfect Pitch",

This song is played in open F# tuning. F#-C#-F#-A#-C#-F#. Or, if you like, open E with capo on 2nd fret. Anyhoo, this should not be in standard tuning. I'll admit you got pretty close, but if you're finding this version hard to play/somewhat off, that would be why.
