[Intro]

E A B E

[Verse 1]

E G#m C#m A
Baby, why don't we just turn that TV off?
E G#m C#m A
315 channels of nothing but bad news on,
         E Eaug/E
Well it might be me, But the way I see it,
      E6/E E7/E A
The whole wide world has gone crazy.
          B E
So baby, why don't we just dance?

[Verse 2]
E G#m C#m A
Just a little bitty living room ain't gonna look like much.
              E G#m
But when the lights go down and we move the couch,
               C#m A
It's gonna be more than enough
        E Eaug/
For my two left feet, And our two hearts beatin'
   E6/E E7/E A
Nobody's gonna see us go crazy.
          B E
So baby, why don't we just dance

Down the hall, Maybe straight up the stairs?

Bouncing off the wall, Floating on air,
 A B E
Baby, why don't we just dance?

[Verse 3]
E G#m C#m A
Baby, why don't you go put your best dress on,
           E G#m
And those high heeled shoes you love to lose
    C#m A
As soon as the tunes come on?
    E Eaug/
On second thought, Just the way you are
      E6/E E7/E A
Is already driving me crazy.
          B E
So baby, why don't we just dance

Down the hall, Maybe straight up the stairs?

Bouncing off the wall, Floating on air,
 A B E
Baby, why don't we just dance? I’ll cut a rug…..

[Break]

A B E

[Outro]
         E Eaug/E
Well it might be me, But the way I see it,
      E6/E E7/E A
The whole wide world has gone crazy.
    A B E
So baby, why don't we just dance

[Bouncing off the walls, floating on air]
    A B E
Oh baby [baby], why don't we just dance?

A B E

Second chord is G# major, not G#m. It's a secondary dominant, V/vi, and makes sense as the next chord is in fact a vi chord.

Doesn't matter what logically comes in the chord sequence but what sounds correct. I've been playing for nearly 50 years and the G#m sounds correct, not the G#, but it's really in the Key of F, not E. Capo needs to be on the 1st fret to play E, G#m C#m, A
