Ported over from a Ukelele

D Am
One day
   C D D Am
The moon got tired of being
C D
Up in the sky
   D Am
He wandered
C D
Down through the starlight
    D Am C D
And landed on the oceanside

      Am
And he smiled while
   D D
He jumped in the water
     Am
And laughed about
      D D
As he danced in the sand
   Am
He put on
    D D
His swim trunks and snorkel
    Am
And guess what
D D D Am C D
Mr. Moon swam

      D Am
Did I tell you
     C D
That moonbeams are heavy
    D Am
And therefore
C D
Mr. Moon sank
   D Am
He fell down
            C D
Through the seawalls of seaweed
    D Am
And landed
       C D
At the bottom of a tank

       Am
And he sat there
         D D
With the starfish and jellyfish
    Am
And laughed about
    D D
The sharks and the whales
      Am
They drank lots
   D D
Of Miller Lights and Heinekens
     Am
And laughed about
D D
All of their tales

D Am C D
Oh, Mr. Moon
D Am C D D Am C
The stars are shining for you in the night sky
D D Am C D
Please come home
D Am C D
Oh, Mr. Moon
D Am C D D Am C
The sun is shining for you until it goes away
    D D Am C
And then it's dark
    D D Am C
And then it's dark
    D D
And then it's dark

Clearly wrong. it sounds completely wrong. The only part that sounds sort of correct is bridge/ chorus part where it just alternates between Em and A
