This is lawyer bullshit. Katrina made her money. The Waves made their money. When I work I get paid MY money and no matter how much benefit and future profit my bosses get from my hard work, my vision, my unique stamp I've placed upon that work, my "art", I only get paid once. Katrina got paid. I'm not stealing from her (or her Waves) when I want to take a peak at another musician's insight into a way to play her song. I respect her song enough to want to know. I've recorded hundreds of songs. Nobody want them, I get that, but if they did I'd be flattered and share them freely because I have no expectation of profit from music. This, right here, the greed of lawyers and no-talent music business leeches, wanting to keep making the same buck off of the same music, over and over again, is a vicious loop. I didn't buy Katrina and the Waves single or album, I admit. But I bought Def Leppard's Pyromania. I bought it as an album. Then I bought it as a tape. Then I bought it as a CD. And then I bought portions of it on a greatest hits CD. I paid, and repaid, and repaid, for the same product, but only because it was convenient for me, totally recognizing that I was being screwed. Well we all get a little screwed. The record moguls and lawyers should get screwed too. But they don't want to, they only wanna screw. They want to get paid over, and over, and over again for the same efforts (of other people we should always remember). Yeah, so they shut this power tab version down. Way to go lawyers. Another one will pop up. And you'll get paid to shut that one down. Will Katrina get a dime? Probably not. Will people eventually forget her music? Probably. See where I'm going with this? No? Then you're part of the problem.
