E A D G B E
2nd fret
You and I, by Lady Gaga
tabbed by speechlesshope

For the parts where she sings "You and I, You you and I, etc." on repeat, switch
between G and Am and C and play around with it a bit to find a pattern that works.
This is my first tab so cut me some slack!

Capo on 2nd fret

[Verse]

G
It's been a long time since I came around
Am
It's been a long time but I'm back in town
C G
But this time I'm not leaving without you

G
You taste like whiskey when you kiss me oh
Am
I'd give anything again to be your baby doll
C G
Yeah this time I'm not leaving without you

[Pre-Chorus]

Am
You said sit back down where you belong
C (G)
In the corner of my bar with your high heels on
Am
Sit back down on the couch where we
D
Made love for the first time
D
And you said to me

[Chorus]

C G
There's something, something about this place
C G D Em
Something about lonely nights and my lipstick on your face
C G D Em
Something something about my cool Nebraska guy
Am
Yeah something about
C G
Baby you and I

[Verse]

G
Been two years since I let you go,
Am
I could've listened to a joke for rock n roll
C G
And muscle cars drove a truck right through my heart

G
On my birthday you sang me a heart of gold
Am
With a guitar hummin and no clothes
C G
This time I'm not leavin without you

[Pre-Chorus]

Am
You said sit back down where you belong
C (G)
In the corner of my bar with your high heels on
Am
Sit back down on the couch where we
D
Made love for the first time
D
And you said to me

[Chorus]

C G
There's something, something about this place
C G D Em
Something about lonely nights and my lipstick on your face
C G D Em
Something something about my cool Nebraska guy
Am
Yeah something about
C G
Baby you and I

You and I, you, you and I
You, you and I, you, you and I

You and I, you, you and I
Oh, yeah, I'd rather die
Without you and I

C'mon!
Put your drinks up!

[Pre-Chorus]

Am
We got a whole lot of money but we still pay rent
C
'Cause you can't buy a house in heaven
Am
There's only three men that I'mma serve my whole life
D
It's my daddy and Nebraska and Jesus Christ

[Chorus]

C G
There's something, something about the chase (six whole years)
C G
I'm a New York woman born to run you down
D Em
Still want my lipstick all over your face
C G D Em
Somethin', somethin' about just knowing when it's right
Am
So put your drinks up for Nebraska
C G
For Nebraska, Nebraska, I love ya

You and I, you, you and I
Baby I rather die
Without you and I

You and I, you, you and I
Nebraska, I'd rather die,
Without you and I

[Outro]

G
It's been a long time since I came around
Am
It's been a long time but I'm back in town
C G
But this time I'm not leaving without you

2nd verse... Its been 2 years since I let you go. I couldn't listen to a joke or rock and roll. Muscle cars drove a truck right through my heart. On my birthday you sang me a "heart of gold" with a guitar humming with no clothes. This time I'm not leaving without you.
