Wake up one morning you realize

(play open A, Eb on D string, A on G string)
Your life is one big compromise (compromise)

(play open A, open D, A on G string)
Stuck in the job you swore was only temporary (was only temporary)
(play open A, E on D string A, on G string, nothing else) Ab Ab on E string

(play open A, E on D string A, on G string, nothing else)
Feel like the world is passing you by (do do do do do)

(play open A, Eb on D string, A on G string)
Never done all the things you would need to try

(play open A, open D, A on G
string)
Stuck in one place, got a pain in your face from all your stressin’ out (all your stressin’ out)x2
(play open A, E on D string A, on G string, nothing else)

           D F#m7 E
You ask yourself there’s got to be more than what I’m living for (what I’m living for) x2

           D E
You ask yourself there’s got to be something else, something more, more, more

A E
Well let the sun shine on your face
                   Bm D
And don’t let your life go to waste
            A E
Now is the time, got to make up your mind
C#m7 D
Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

same as before from here....

Feel like there’s nothing *nowhere to* go
You try and fight but you can’t let go
Roll the pain, got so much to gain
Now is the time

You ask yourself there’s got to be something else, something more, more, more

Well let the sun shine on your face
And don’t let your life go to waste
Now is the time, got to make up your mind
Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

You ask yourself there’s got to be more than what I’m living for (what I’m living for) x2
You ask yourself there’s got to be something else, something more, more, more

Well let the sun shine on your face
And don’t let your life go to waste
Now is the time, got to make up your mind
Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

x2

This is the first time that I ever put anything up here and I have to thank all
the people that take the time to figure stuff out and put it up.
I borrowed the words from someone else and made the adjustments to the chords.
I love this tune and I appreciate everyone's attempts but I couldn't find a correct version.
Hope you like this song too and enjoy playing it.

Great stuff, you've nailed it -- especially on the chorus, a lot of people seem to think it's F#m instead of Bm (easy mistake to make, I suppose). Not to mention the second chord, which you're the only person to identify properly so far. Problem is, this song is written on the piano where the chords flow very simply but are a real pain on the guitar (the opening chords, that is). I've substituted Ebdim7 for the second chord (xx1212), which lets you play a full A to open with, then play D for the third chord.
