         G B7/F# Em G7
she came ridin' into Pittsburgh

the smoke made dismo patterns in the rain

           G B7/F# Em G7
she'd come up from Albu- querque

and Pittsburgh seemed the only place to fly

    G B7/F# Em G7
the smoke tried to sur- round her

and soon it was a sunny Pittsburgh day

   G B7/F# Em G7
the Pittsburgh birds were singing
 C C/B Am
  when I met her there

 Dm/B Dm/Bb Dm/A A
she thought for a moment she smiled and said: "oh no
 D G C G

        G B7/F# Em G7
now the kids and us are living
      C C/B Am
on an Albe- querque plain

Instead of Dm6/Ab-chord(45343x), a D°7/Ab-chord (45646x) can be played
