[Verse]

Am            Ammaj7             Am7           D9
Are we really happy with this lonely game we play,

Am            F7       E7   Bm7-5  E7
Looking for words to say?

Am                 Ammaj7         Am7         D9
Searching but not finding understanding any way,

       F7          E7     Am
We're lost in this masquerade

[Bridge]

Gm7             C7                FM7      Dm7
Both afraid to say we're just too far away

       Gm7          C7             FM7
From being close together from the start;

   F#m7             B7             E6              E6 alt
We tried to talk it over, but the words got in the way;

       D      B7        E7   Bm7-5     E7
We're lost inside this lonely game we play.

[Instrumental interlude]

[Bridge]

Gm7             C7                FM7      Dm7
Both afraid to say we're just too far away

       Gm7          C7             FM7
From being close together from the start;

   F#m7             B7             E6              E6 alt
We tried to talk it over, but the words got in the way;

       D      B7        E7   Bm7-5     E7
We're lost inside this lonely game we play.

[Outro]

Am                  Ammaj7             Am7              D9
Thoughts of leaving disappear every time I see your eyes,

   Am          F7     E7   Bm7-5   E7
No matter how hard I try

   Am            Ammaj7            Am7           D9
To understand the reason that we carry on this way,

      F7           E7     Am   Ammaj7 Am7 Am6 F7 E7 Am
We're lost in this masquerade.

Sorry about that Ammaj7 chord. It just seems to make more sense than calling it a G#aug which is what my chord finder came up with. It's an Am with an A to G# to G progression on the 3rd string.

Great work - one easy way to play the Am/G#aug/Am7 and verse is in the 5th position:
x0755x / x0655x / x0555x then x5455x

When I do this piece, I use a Kenny Rankin version of your riff that I picked up off of a Youtube vid of him doing While My Guitar Gently Weeps. It's a different chord progression; but, it got me on the road.

x0750x(x2) x0650x(x2) x0550x(x2)

[which continues on the last verse like: ]
[ x0450x(x2) x3121x 1x121 x1020x 0x010 x07500 ]

- All arpeggios except the x07500 -

Thanks for the feedback!!!
