"Drink With Me"

This is a simpler version of my favorite song from the musical.
I tried to transfer it to a key where you would only have to play "beginner-intermediate" chords.
Please note that this is not the original key written by Schonberg and Boubil for the musical.
Feel free to use a Capo to find the right one.

A Bm7 E A

          A7 Dm
Here's to pretty girls who went to our heads.

          G7 C A
Here's to witty girls who went to our beds.

          Bm7 E A
Here's to them and here's to you!

Drink with me to days gone by

       Bm7 E7 A
Can it be you fear to die?

Could it be your death means nothing at all?

        Bm E A
Is your life just one more lie?

           Bm7 E A
Drink with me to days gone by

        Bm7 E7 A
To the life that used to be

       A7 Dm

Let the wine of friendship never run dry

          Bm E A
Here's to you and here's to me

Bm7 E7 A
Do I care if I should die now she goes across the sea?

         A7 Dm
Life without Cosette means nothing at all.

Nice and simple, but I think the Dm is a D7

Thanks for the correction but I am not so sure it is right. The notes you sing during the Dm chord are G F E F. A D7 chord throws an F# in there which doesn't fit with the key.
