** Em7 slide down to 3rd fret

Intro: C/G/Em/Am/* x2

   C/G
I never meant to wither
   Em
I wanted to be tall
     Am
Like a fool, left the river
     *
And watched my branches fall.

   C/G
Old and thirsty, i longed for the flood
  Em
To come back around
       Am
To the cactus in the valley,
        *
That's about to crumble down

    Fmaj7 Em7** C/G
And wipe the mark of sadness from my face
Fmaj7 Em7** C/G
Show me that your love will never change
Fmaj7 Em7** Am Dm
If my yesterday is a disgrace
C/G Fmaj7 Em7** C/G
Show me that you still recall my name.

C/G Em
So the storm finally found me and left me in the dark
Am *
In the cloud around me, i don't know where you are
     C/G Em
If this old world goes up in arms, all i can do is stand
  Am *
And i wont fight for anyone until you move my hands.

     Fmaj7 Em7** C/G
And wipe the mark of madness from my face

Here i am

And i need someone by my side.
        Dm
It becomes so

Hard to stand

Come and find me

Fmaj7 Em7** C/G
show me that your love will never change.
    Fmaj7 Em7** Am D
And if my yesterday is a disgrace,
 C/G Fmaj7 Em7** C/G

If you are playing with the studio version of it done acoustically just slide the capo to 1 and use the same chords :)

the Fmaj7 is played like ---|---|---
-1-|---|---
---|-2-|---
---|---|-4-
---|---|-3-
---|---|---
and then just slide it down to 3rd fret for the Em7
