Band: Lucinda Williams
Album: I Just Want to See You So Bad
Tuning: Standard
Capo: 2nd fret
-----------------------------------

[Intro]
  G D Am C (play 3x)

[Verse 1]
              G C
If I had my way, I'd be in your town
              G Csus4 C
I might not stay, but at least I would've been around
                 G D C
'Cause there's something about what happens when we talk
  G D C
Something about what happens when we talk

[Verse 2]
                 G C
Does this make sense? It doesn't matter anyway
           G C
Is it co-incidence, or was it meant to be?
                 G D C
'Cause there's something about what happens when we talk
  G D C
Something about what happens when we talk

[Verse 3]
         G C
Conver-sation with you was like a drug
                 G C
It wasn't your face so much as it was your words
              G D C
And there's something about what happens when we talk
  G D C
Something about what happens when we talk

INSTRUMENTAL BRIDGE:
  G D C C (play 4x)

[Verse 4]
                      G C
Well I can't stay a-round 'cause I'm going back south
               G C
But all I re-gret now is I never kissed your mouth
              G D C
And there's something about what happens when we talk
  G D C
Something about what happens when we talk

[FINALE]
  G D C
Something about what happens when we talk
  G D C
Something about what happens when we talk

Nice! Thank you!
But why capo it at II? You can play it in A open.

I thought about tabbing it without the capo but decided to be true to how I saw her play it live.

I figured it might have something to do with the original performance.
On the recording I was just listening to, by the way, the instrumental bridge is a verse higher (just above "Conversation with you . . . ").
