Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
So this is how mac plays it acoustically and it matches up with the record real nice.
For the G chord use this pattern while strumming:

e|---3----3---3---3--------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---0----0---0---0--------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---0----0---0---0--------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---0----0---0---0--------------------------------------------------------------| x3
A|---3----2---0---2--------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---0----0---0---3--------------------------------------------------------------|

And for the D7 chord use the C7 shape slid up two frets.

G
As I’m getting older, chip up on my shoulder
                      D7
Rolling through life, to roll over and die

[Scat Singing]
(G-D7)

G
Missing Hippie Jon, salad days are gone
                      D7
Remembering things just to tell ‘em so long

[Scat Singing]
(G-D7)

G Em Am D7
Oh mama, actin’ like my life’s already over
G Em Am D7
Oh dear, act your age and try another year
G
Always feeling tired, smiling when required
                       D7
Write another year off and kindly resign

[Scat Singing]
(G-D7)

G
Salad days are gone, missing Hippie Jon
                          D7
Remember the days just to tell ‘em so long

[Scat Singing]
(G-D7)

G Em Am D7
Oh mama, actin’ like my life’s already over
G Em Am D7
Oh dear, act your age and try another year
G Em Am D7
Oh mama, actin’ like my life’s already over
G Em Am D7
Oh dear, act your age and try another year

There is an extra D7 when leaving the chorus. The tuning is a quarter step up with the capo on the second fret. Assuming people are learning this while listening to the record/spotify.
