This sounds nothing like it. If you watch any videos of him playing it, there is a lot of movement up and down the fret
board. This is definitely incorrect.

funny thing about that is I posted this BEFORE YouTube even existed!! Therefore I didn't have the privilege to watch a live video.

I wasn't aware most if not all of his tracks on the split are played a half step down. If you notice though...if you transcribe all of my chords, etc. above to a half step down...they almost match your other version.
