THE NAZARNE By Michael Card

The Nazarene had come to live the life of every man

 Em/B Am Em F
And He felt the fascination of the stars

And as He wandered through this weary world

   C Em/B Am
He wondered and He wept

          F G F C Em/B
For there were so few who listened to His call

   Am Em F C Em/B
He came, He saw, He surrendered all

Am Em F
So that we might be born again

         F G C Em/B Am
And the fact of His humanity was there for all to see

           F G
For He was unlike any other man

    F G C
And yet so much like me

2nd verse

C Em/B
The Nazarene could hunger, and the Nazarene could cry

             Am Em F
And He could laugh with all the fullness of His heart

    F G
And those who hardly knew Him

    C Em/B Am
And those who knew Him well

      F G F C Em/B
Could feel the contradiction from the start CHORUS

I think this song should have a capo on the 1st fret, other than that great job. I've been wanting to learn this for a long time.

Good job! The lyrics you posted for the first verse are slightly off, though. They actually read:

"The Nazarene had come to live the life of every man,
And He felt the facination of the stars.
And as He wandered through this weary world,
He WONDERED and He wept,
For there were so few who LISTENED to His call."

Other than that, great job! I'm glad somebody has the sense to post Michael Card's music.
