intro: A-B-E
        A-B-F#m

A B E
maybe i'd be better on my own
A B F#m
no one ever seems to understand me
     A B E
it's easier for me to be alone
            A B F#m
but there's still a piece of me that feels so empty

              A B E
i’ve been all over the world
            A B F#m
i've seen a million different places
                A B E
but through the crowds and all the faces
     A B
i'm still out there looking for you

C#m A E
where are you now?
          B C#m A E B
i'm trying to get by with never knowing at all
C#m A E B
what is the chance of finding you out there?
   G D (mute)
or do i have to wait forever?

A-B-E

  A B E
i write about the things i'll never know
    A B F#m (mute)
and i can't find a moment just to… slow down
   A B E
it makes me think i'll never have the chance
   A B
to figure out what it's all about
   A B
so tell me what it's all about

C#m A E
where are you now?
          B C#m A E B
i'm trying to get by with never knowing at all
C#m A E B
what is the chance of finding you out there?

sorry, i messed up f#m. you can play either 042200 or 044200; the first is the generally accepted f#m7 chord, but i find
that the second one is a little easier to play & sounds just as good.
